Owners of Bluebell Woods B&B in Sywell have already thrown a Blooming Great Tea party and raised £850 for Marie Curie’s local nursing service.

The owners, David and Donna Bletsoe Brown, said: “We wanted to organise a tea party in aid of Marie Curie as there are so many people affected by cancer or a terminal illness, so we wanted to be able to help the local nursing service. It went really well as it was a hot summers day and lots of people turned up for a cream tea.

“We were thrilled it was a success and it’s really heart-warming to know that our help will help someone at the most poignant time of their life”.

Laura Foy, community fund-raiser for Northamptonshire at Marie Curie said every pound raised from events would help Marie Curie nurses care for someone living with a terminal illness locally, as well as supporting their family.
