The mayor of Rushden has proclaimed a series of events showcasing the town to be a great success.
Get to know Rushden, which includes a range of open days, fun days and other events, is running until Sunday, July 14.
“The intention is to try and create a bit of a community atmosphere,” said Cllr David Jenney. “We started on Friday with the soapbox derby.
“Yesterday (Saturday, July 6) my feet never touched the ground – there were so many events on. People are really entering into the spirit of it.”
Cllr Jenney, who was speaking at a fun day at the Trafford Road park this afternoon (Sunday), added: “It’s designed to get more support into the town and to make people proud of Rushden and letting people who have never tried something have a taster.”
