Pedestrian suffers head and leg injuries after being hit by car in Rushden

A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in Robert Street, Rushden.

Emergency services were called following the collision involving a pedestrian and a car at about 7.45pm yesterday (Thursday).

Magpas doctor Lee Soomaroo and paramedic Ollie Robinson arrived at the scene using the Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle and they worked alongside paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The woman had suffered a head and leg injury, but they were only minor injuries.

A spokesman for Magpas said: “The woman was then taken, in a stable condition, by land ambulance to Kettering General Hospital.”

Officers from Northamptonshire Police also attended the incident.
