Passenger killed after car collides with tree

A 33-year-old man died after the car he was travelling in left the road and crashed into a tree on Boxing Day morning.

The accident took place on Holdenby Road, Church Brampton, at around 10.15am, and police have named the victim as Kevin John O’Keefe, from London.

The collision involved a single vehicle, a silver Ford Mondeo, which was travelling from Holdenby towards Church Brampton.

It is not yet known why the vehicle left the carriageway.

The car was being driven by a 49-year-old man from Daventry and contained three passengers, all men, aged, 31, 33 and 36.

Mr O’Keefe, from Enfield, died as a result of the collision.

Officers in the Collision Investigation Team would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any information regarding it.
