A jubilee party that was hastily moved indoors has been declared a success.
The party to celebrate the Queen’s milestone was set to take place at Rockingham Road Pleasure Park, in Kettering, but was moved to neaby All Saints Church because of the poor weather.
The event, which took place on Sunday, June 3, had bands, singlongs, cakes, and a church service to get people into the spirit.
Adrian Horner of Open Door Church said: “So many people came- it is a dream come true. We love to serve the community of Kettering alongside other partners.
“We feel that the good news of the Christian message means that here is much to celebrate despite the weather.”
The event was organised by Rockingham Road Pleasure Park, Open Door Church, and Kettering Councillor Steve Bellamy.
