PEOPLE living on the edge of Corby are being urged to register their children for a primary school.
Little Stanion, which lies to the south of the town, is a new housing development which started three years ago and is still under construction. Villagers are looking forward to their new dedicated primary school finally opening in September.
Little Stanion Primary School headteacher Helen Williams officially takes on the role after the Easter holidays, when she will leave her present post at Corby Old Village Primary School.
But ahead of taking up the position, she is urging people to register their reception age children at the school.
In her online blog for parents, she said: “This is just a reminder that Little Stanion Primary School will be opening in September.
“If you have a child due to start school in September who is turning five between September 2012 and August 2013, then please get in touch with Northamptonshire County Council admissions as there are places available at the school.”
There will initially be 30 places for reception age children. Applications for other year groups will start in May. To find out more email email@example.com.
