Panto threatened

People living in Oundle may not be able to enjoy the town’s annual pantomime next year for the first time in more than 20 years unless two key production roles can be filled.

The town’s amateur theatrical society has been unable to fill the key roles of director and musical director for its planned production of Mother Goose in January 2015.

The group has staged annual, traditional pantomimes in the town since 1986.

Mother Goose producer Chris Sandles, said: “We pride
ourselves on bringing professional-quality shows to a local audience, so we are looking for local volunteers with the right experience to help us deliver what our audience expects. “Auditions are scheduled for September, but we can’t plan effectively until we have our production team in place.”

Prospective directors and
musical directors, and anyone else looking to get involved in the pantomime or build their

experience in musical theatre, are asked to contact Oundle Amateur Theatrical Society on 01832 280198 or email
