A 56-year-old woman was seriously injured in a road traffic collision near Oundle last night.
A black Ford Fiesta being driven by a 20-year-old man was travelling on the A605 southbound at 10pm, when for reasons not yet known, it was in collision with a yellow Vauxhall Tigra being driven by the woman and a silver Peugeot 206, being driven by a man, which were travelling northbound.
The woman was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry, where she is in a critical condition.
The man driving the Ford Fiesta was was taken to Adenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.
The man driving the Peugeot was not injured in the collision.
