The eastbound carriageway of the A14 will be closed for two nights this weekend as part of the ongoing widening project between junctions 7 and 9.
The firm carrying out the work, bmJV, says the road will be closed from 8pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will re-open at 8am on Saturday morning, 9am on Sunday and 6am on Monday.
Contractors say a variety of work is being carried out, including installing drainage crossings, repairing the edges of the highway, electrical testing and other general maintenance.
In addition to the overnight closures, the eastbound off and on sliproads will be closed at 8pm on Friday evening and will not reopen until 6am on Monday, June 2.
Diversions will be signposted during the closures and motorists are being told to expect at least 20 to 30 minutes on top of their normal journey.
