Staff, parents and children are celebrating after their playgroup was rated as outstanding in all areas.
JAK’s Playgroup meets at the Salvation Army Hall in Spinney Road, Irthlingborough, and has just received an outstanding Ofsted report.
It was given the top rating in all four areas of assessment - effectiveness of leadership and management, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, personal development, behaviour and welfare, and outcomes for children.
A spokesman for the playgroup said: “We are very pleased to announce that JAK’s Playgroup has achieved an outstanding report from Ofsted.
“We are delighted with this judgement and celebrated with a party.
“The Ofsted inspector said that not one learning opportunity was missed.
“She thought the children were very relaxed, happy to be with us and ready to learn.
“We constantly took account of our children’s interests so that the spaces, both inside and outside, were utilized to their full potential.
“She also said we listened carefully to the children leaving them space to negotiate together, respond to questions and state their points of view.
“Independence and personal involvement was encouraged at all activates, from snack time to group and story times so JAK’s Playgroup really is a place where laughter, friendship and adventures begin.”
And the spokesman for the playgroup, which is for children aged two to four, added: “Thank you to all of our parents and families who have supported us over the years, and we look forward to many more.”
