Rachael started fencing five years ago when attending Oundle Middle School and currently trains at OPS Epee Club in Oundle.

She also helps coach younger fencers at an after-school club run by ex-Commonwealth Games silver medallist Chris Howser.

Rachael was British champion of the under-12s and was part of the England under-15 team.

She now fences for Scotland in the under-15s, and is currently under-15, under-17 and under-20 national champion.

Rachael was part of the team that won the British School National Championship four years ago and she is hoping to represent Scotland at the School Games and at the Cadet and Junior Commonwealth Games in 2018.

Head of school Steve Harvey said: “Not only is Rachael an excellent fencer, but a great role model for our students, especially when helping teach younger students at our fencing club.

“We are very proud to have Rachael here with us and wish her the very best for her upcoming competitions.”
