Sunny Nunney with Gregg Nunney

It’s been a week of little things annoying me.

You know when something winds you up enough to have a moan but not so much that you want to rip your hair out?

Basically, one of those after another.

First, take the recent wintry weather.

The number of people who seemed to think the best way to make the ice melt on the roads was to turn their headlights on full beam was amazing.

Whether there’s a clear road or whether there’s fog, whether it’s the middle of the night or the middle of the day, full-beam headlights dazzle the driver in front.

And I know we’ve all been told to conserve energy during the cold weather, and to make sure we are prepared for the possibility of being stuck in our cars, but trying to save on fuel by not indicating at roundabouts is not to be advised.

Then on Saturday I had the pleasure of spending 10 minutes on the A14 behind a lorry trying to overtake another without actually going any faster.

By the time I got home I would have been happy never to get behind the wheel again.

So imagine my delight when, as I settled in to get some sleep, my neighbours began to have a party.

What annoys me even more than being kept awake by loud noise is being kept awake by noise that’s not quite loud enough to be loud and not quite quiet enough to be quiet!

Suffice to say, over the past seven days, Nunney has been less than sunny!

Normal service will be resumed next week.
