An annual open art exhibition has opened at Kettering’s Alfred East Art Gallery.
The event, this year called Open16 presents an exciting opportunity for young, amateur and professional artists to showcase their artistic talents.
The Open16 exhibition is open for artists 18 and over and there is also an exhibition called YouthOpen16, which is open to young people aged between eight and 17 - who compete for a range of artists’ prizes.
A spokesman for the gallery said: “The popular and diverse exhibition presents an array of artworks and contemporary craft by artists from the local and regional areas around Northamptonshire.
“The exhibition includes a wide selection of different art forms with painting, photography, illustration, sculpture, textiles and ceramics.
“All works in the exhibition are for sale, providing an ideal opportunity to start your own art collection and support local artists.”
The gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4.45pm (last admission 4.30pm).
