More than £4,500 was raised at an open day for an animal rescue and re-homing charity.

Animals In Need held the open day at its base at Pine Tree Farm in London Road, Little Irchester, on Sunday.

Visitors were able to meet some of the charity’s residents as well as browse a number of stalls.

Annie Marriott from the charity which rescues and re-homes hundreds of animals each year said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that supported or helped at our fabulous open day on Sunday.

“It raised a staggering £4,583.

“This will make a huge difference to Animals In Need, we will use it to pay off vets, utility and feed bills.

“You are all simply amazing and we could not do this without your continued kind support.”
