Corby Council is reminding residents of the exciting opportunity that has arisen to lease the popular cafe at the town’s Boating Lake.
All interested parties have been invited to put their tender bids in for consideration and with only eight days to go before the deadline, Corby Council is encouraging those people to do so before it’s too late.
The Boating Lake was constructed in the early 1970s to offer a community facility by the man-made lake.
The facility is a short walk from Corby Town Centre, with Pat Fawcett Way footpath/trail connecting it with Corby East Midlands International Pool.
The lake itself often boasts a wide variety of ducks, geese, water fowl and garden birds and an environmental project has previously seen fishing stocks improved.
The cafe and associated outbuildings, including lavatories and store, are of masonry cavity construction with felt flat roofs.
The intention is for the building to be let as a shell, with the successful bidder being expected to fit out to meet their own catering equipment requirements.
The deadline for tender bids is 4pm on Friday January 15 2016.
Parties who are interested in being provided with a tender pack are welcome to contact CB Property on 01536 464684 or via email at Jonathan.Mallender@corby.gov.uk.
