One man injured, shops damaged and arrests made following ‘altercation’ involving several people outside Burger King in Northampton

Police were called to Northampton town centre this morning following reports that a number of shops were being smashed up.

Officers were called to Market Square at around 10am this morning (Tuesday) following reports of an altercation between several men and that someone was damaging shops in the area.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said three men were involved in the altercation and that officers found a man lying on the floor injured.

The altercation occurred outside Burger King, near the fountain in Market Square.

The spokesman added that arrests have been made following the incident.
