A local horse feed manufacturer is celebrating this week with the announcement that two of its sponsored riders will be representing Great Britain in the Olympics.
Dodson & Horrell, based in Islip, Kettering, supports the Queen’s granddaughter Zara Phillips and Georgian ‘Piggy’ French, and both have been selected to represent their county in equestrian at the Games later this summer.
Chris Gordon, Technical director at Dodson & Horrell, said: “We are immensely proud to be working with Team GB and are delighted to be supporting some of the country’s leading talents as they go about realising their ambitions.
“A huge congratulations to Zara and Piggy.
“We are delighted to be playing a part in their success and that of Great Britain as a whole.”
Two years ago, The British Equestrian Federation appointed Dodson & Horrell as the official suppliers of nutrition to the British Equestrian Team.
As part of this three-year deal, the Northamptonshire based company now supplies bespoke horse feed and equine nutrition advice to the team.
The family run company has a Royal Warrant as Horse and Dog Food Manufacturers to the Queen and provides horse feed to the Household Cavalry and the Royal Horse Artillery.
Leicestershire-based Georgian French said: “Having the support and expertise of the Dodson & Horrell team has been invaluable in realising the full potential of my horses and has played a significant part in my success.
“This is a dream come true.”
