The nursery, in Highfield Road, is near the centre of Rushden in a converted 1930s building and is one of a small group of nurseries owned by Davidson Roberts Ltd.

One of the Ofsted inspectors’ comments in the report was “staff are caring and responsive to children’s needs. Children form very positive, trusting relationships with them. This fosters children’s emotional security and their well-being and develops their self-confidence.”

Jane Roberts, nursery owner, said: “I am so proud and grateful to Emma and the team for the positive and encouraging comments that have been made about Rushden Day Nursery.

“We believe that our nurseries should feel like a home-from-home environment, where children feel settled and happy.

“None of this would be possible without such motivated staff who enjoy watching the children learn and develop at a pace right for them and grow in confidence daily.”

Rushden Day Nursery has been managed by Emma Hedges for the last five years.
