Welcome to the Telegraph’s regular WI feature.
The WI has many things to offer to women of ALL ages and with 123 WIs in the whole of Northamptonshire – one more since I wrote the last article – so we must be doing something right!
The latest WI meets in Revolutions Bar in Bridge Street, Northampton; and another has opened in a Methodist Church Hall.
WIs are all different and there is sure to be one near you.
In between meetings there are other activities including festive events, theatre trips, walks, craft get-togethers, darts and skittles practices and much more.
To experience the fun and friendship that is the WI, just go along to a local meeting where you can be sure you will be made welcome.
This month we focus on Hargrave WI, which is a small activegroup which meets in the village hall on the second Wednesday of every month.
Their Christmas Bazaar was visited by local author Jinny Casey, who read from her book Tales of Two Shires.
After Christmas, to welcome in the New Year, a Hot Supper with Games is planned for Wednesday, January 14.
Then there is a Spring Coffee Morning in the village hall on Thursday, February 5.
They also run a darts and skittles team, have a walking group and are involved in the village community.
Why not pop along to see what Hargrave WI is all about? You will be made most welcome.
