A Northamptonshire Police officer has appeared in court this morning charged with murder.
Adrian Goldsmith (also known as Otis) appeared at Northampton Crown Court.
Goldsmith, 49, was arrested last Thursday, March 26, after the body of his wife Jill Goldsmith, also 49, was found at their home in Wootton Hall Park, Northampton.
A post-mortem examination conducted at Leicester Royal Infirmary concluded that Mrs Goldsmith died as a result of a head injury.
Goldsmith was charged with murder on Saturday morning and appeared before Corby Magistrates’ Court later the same day.
This morning he appeared at Northampton Crown Court via video link and was remanded into custody.
He is next due to appear in court the week commencing July 13.
