Northamptonshire parents group gets a cash boost from Waitrose

Northamptonshire Parent Forum Group (NPFG) were invited by Waitrose to collect a cheque for £170.

NPFG participated in the Green Token Community Matters project and Waitrose customers raised £170 for the group.

Jane Marriott, NPFG’s Treasurer said: “The funds are gratefully received and will be used to support the upcoming ‘SummerSENDsation’ family fun day for children with additional needs and/or disability on Sunday, 13th September 2015 taking place at Northampton College.”

NPFG is a voluntary organisation representing parent carers of disabled children and young people up to the age of 25 living in Northamptonshire. Formed in 2012, the forum is one of 153 parent carer forums in the UK and member of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (NNPCF).

The pan disability organisation is engaging with the Local Authority, Health and Education partners on a strategic level to shape and improve services for disabled children and young people and their families.
