There’s still time to nominate charities, clubs and individuals from Northamptonshire who make us proud.
Entries have already started coming in for the annual Pride In Northamptonshire awards, but we know there are many more out there who deserve recognition for their hard work which often goes unnoticed.
The awards, which are sponsored by Wicksteed Park in association with Costa, recognise the achievements of those in the community who make time to help others and make a difference in people’s lives.
Editor of the Northamptonshire Telegraph, Neil Pickford, said: “These fantastic awards are our way of shining the spotlight on the unsung people every community needs.
“We have already had numerous entries but we know there are so many more out there who deserve recognition for the work they do in making this a county to be proud of.”
Categories include Young Achiever, which recognises the extraordinary dedication and hard work put in by young people in the county; Service with a Smile, for the individual or team that goes the extra mile when it comes to customer service; Inspire a Generation, sponsored by Western Power, for people who inspire others through their exploits; Care and the Community, for individuals who have shown patience and understanding caring for someone else, and the Northamptonshire Community Award, for a person, group or charity who have made a contribution to their local community.
The awards night will be held at Wicksteed Park Pavillion on Friday, September 26, from 7pm.
To nominate visit www.northantstelegraph.co.uk before Sunday, September 7.
Tickets for the event, which include a welcome drink and two-course meal, are £22 for adults and £15 for children.
