Chicken fans will be able to try out the new Nando’s restaurant in Corby when it opens its doors to diners next week.
The chain, known for its chicken dishes in a range of sauces ranging from mild to hot, is set to serve its first customers on Wednesday, June 3.
It is one of three restaurants opening as part of the new cinema complex in Corby town centre.
As well as Nando’s, people will also be able to choose from Italian restaurant chain Prezzo and RBW, a new concept from the Spur group which specialises in ribs, burgers and wings.
The Spur group launched in South Africa in 1967 and has numerous restaurants around the world, including the Spur Steak & Grill restaurants in the UK and Ireland.
Next week’s official opening for Nando’s comes as work is progressing well on the new Savoy cinema being built by Mulberry Developments next to the Cube.
Once completed, it will be capable of seating more than 900 people across six screens and will be fully digital and kitted out with the latest audio-visual technology.
Work on the new state-of-the-art multiplex began on the former Tresham College site, off George Street, in April and people have been able to see its progress on the new cinema’s website.
The website states: “The people of Corby have been eagerly awaiting their very own big screen experience and with the construction of our new six-screen multiplex on George Street approaching completion, we’re very happy to say the wait is nearly over.”
Recruitment has started for anyone interested in securing a job at the new cinema.
Anyone who is interested in applying for a position can go to the jobs page on the website at www.savoycorby.co.uk.
