Students and staff at Hinwick Hall College were presented with a new minibus by the Lord’s Taverners and Lady Taverners.
The 16-seat £53,000 minibus has been part-funded through the college’s own fundraising activity and thanks to support from The Peter Harrison Foundation, which has donated more than £250,000 to The Lord’s Taverners over the past five years.
Paralympic Torchbearer Gareth Canning also visited the college that day to talk about his involvement in the games.
Acting principal Elsbeth Tibbetts said: “The new minibus is a fantastic addition to a transport fleet which is fully used on a daily basis. Hinwick’s rural location means our own transport is essential for students to actively participate in a broad range of curriculum and leisure activities.”
