The funding, which totals £3,508,494, forms part of the planning agreement for the new development, located in Market Road.

It will be used to support services and improve facilities for both new and existing residents of the town.

Among the contributions are £1.7 million towards primary and £1.3 million towards secondary education, as well as £100,000 for public transport and an £80,000 library contribution.

Barratt Homes’ development Charter’s Gate and David Wilson Homes’ site The Nurseries is set to bring a range of different properties to the market town.
