A new food and homeware store opening later this year is set to create 30 jobs.
The Food Warehouse, a new store format by Iceland, will be opening in the former Poundstretcher unit at the Peel Retail Park in Phoenix Parkway, Corby.
It will be offering a wide range of frozen, chilled, fresh, branded grocery and homeware lines.
Food Warehouse stores are often twice as big as regular Iceland stores and offer a wider range of products.
There will be frozen meats, fish, vegetables and ready-to-cook meals, as well as various chilled meats, fruit and vegetables.
Savings will be on offer with ‘Case Savers’ where bulk savings are passed on to the customer.
There will also be special ‘When It’s Gone It’s Gone’ deals where customers can buy selected homeware lines.
The Food Warehouse is a relatively new retailer which has now been trading for more than two years.
The success of the new store format has led to expansion as stores have opened up throughout the UK, bringing the current store total to 40.
Corby’s new store will be creating 30 new roles for the area.
Bosses say the Food Warehouse offers one of the most competitive rates of pay in the supermarket sector, contracted hours and other benefits.
The Food Warehouse at Peel Retail Park is scheduled to open in August.
When it opens its doors to the public, the first 100 customers who spend £5 or more will receive free gifts and prizes.
