A brand new fashion chain which is opening its first UK store in Kettering this summer has announced it is also opening a branch in Corby.
Pep&Co is planning to spend £20 million opening 50 stores across the UK this year, and the new shops in Kettering and Corby will each create 12 new jobs, including store manager positions.
The Kettering store is already undergoing fitting at the Newlands Centre while the Corby shop will be at 20 Willow Place.
A spokesman for Pep&Co said: “The new Pep&Co store in Kettering will have simple low pricing on fashion and home ranges - initially for mums and kids - an offer that’s become hard to find on secondary high streets.
The firm has already said it aims to compete with fashion stores like Primark and Peacocks.
Pep&Co investor Andy Bond said: “Over the past few years, we Brits have been falling back in love with our high streets by shopping in smaller locations at stores offering real value.
“My ambition is that PEP&CO will be the first true town centre fashion value store in Kettering, able to build on the example of new value food and general merchandise retailers.”
