Discount retailer QD Stores is to create seven new jobs when its new store opens in Raunds this week.
The store in the former Co-op premises in Brook Street will stock a range of goods, including for the home, garden and pets.
It is providing a jobs boost for Raunds and QD Stores has been actively recruiting seven positions for sales assistants, supervisors and managers from the area.
The official opening celebrations will include a host of one-off deals for customers, while some customers can expect to receive some surprise opening day gifts.
QD Stores is part of the QD Group, which is an independent, family-owned chain of High Street value retail outlets.
There are currently 21 QD Stores across the country.
The original concept of QD Stores’ quality discounted retailing was first established in 1985 by the company’s CEO Nick Rubin’s father and current chairman Danny Rubins.
The aim was to offer customers a wide range of constantly changing, quality products at discounted prices.

The manager at the new Raunds store is Anthony Nash and he said: “I am very excited about opening the new store here in Raunds.
“QD Stores is a very friendly company and we all look forward to meeting lots of new customers and getting to know them really well.
“Come in and say hello.”
The new Raunds store, which has 7,233 sq ft of retail space, will open at 9am on Thursday (March 9).
