Former acting chief executive of Corby Council, Norman Stronach, has taken on the top job.
Borough councillors last night (Thursday, May 23) approved the appointment of Mr Stronach as council chief executive.
He took the helm last year when the then chief executive Chris Mallender began an 11-month secondment to an alternative energy project in the north of England, eventually retiring from the post in January.
Mr Stronach, who previously worked in Hull and Northampton, has worked for Corby Council for 10 years and has been involved in many of the town’s regeneration projects.
Also at last night’s annual council meeting, Cllr Judy Caine was selected as Corby’s mayor, with Cllr Anthony Dady as deputy mayor.
Cllr Tom Beattie continues as council leader, with Cllr Jean Addison as his deputy.
