A VIP opening of a new bar and restaurant in Corby drew a large crowd last night (Thursday).
The Glasshouse in Queen’s Square, Corby, held a private Champagne reception for invited guests.
Tonight it will officially open to members of the public.
It has a coffee shop downstairs called the Coffee Foundry for daytime punters and a restaurant and bar upstairs, serving food made with local ingredients.
Manager Paul Glass is well-known in the town for his role as Corby Town FC director.
His partner Louise Dighton said: “We wanted to make it something completely different for Corby.
“It’s going to be fairly upmarket with live music and food made with local ingredients.
“We wanted to step away from what the chain restaurants are offering here and give people something unique.”
The Glasshouse, based in the former Cafe Con Leche building, will initially just serve drinks and light refreshments during the day and will serve a full menu from March 23.
It will open during the day today and into the early evening.
