New car parking deck at KGH officially opened

The new car parking deck at KGH has been officially opened, providing 240 additional spaces.

Deputy director of estates Craig Catterick and director of Fast Park System Antonio Manna cut the ribbon on Friday to mark the completion of the project and the opening of the upper deck in car park B.

The new arrangements also mean the trust has reduced charges for patients parking for less than four hours and has introduced number plate recognition barriers which can be paid for with either cash or card.

The new deck boosts the car park’s overall capacity to 471.
