New bus campaign to drive in more trade

A community bus service for Wellingborough and surrounding villages has been given a new image to help drive trade into town.

The town’s Business Improvement District, a scheme which aims to boost the town’s economic prospects, has arranged to have one of the four Wellibuses re-branded as part of a new sponsorship deal.

The 16-seater bus has been given a new look in the colours of the ‘Discover Wellingborough’ campaign, which provides an online business directory.

Improvement district manager John Cable said: “The Wellibus provides a vital service to the community and as well as supporting it, we are also hoping this new partnership will drive more trade into town, literally.”
