Detectives in Corby are re-appealing for the public’s help in identifying a man who sexually assaulted a woman in the town.

A 21-year-old woman was walking along a cut-through between Beanfield Avenue and Barnsley Square, between 8.50pm and 9pm, on Saturday, September 15, when she was approached by a man who touched her inappropriately. The victim believes the offender may have had a knife during the incident, during which she hit him, quite possibly leaving a significant scratch on his face.

The man was white, with a tanned complexion, around six foot tall and with dark coloured, short hair. He was of average build and was aged between 35 and 40. He wore a black hooded top with a pocket on the front and had a deep voice with an English accent.

Witnesses, or anyone with any information, are asked to contact Corby CID on 101, extension 4671. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
