TWO children have been chosen to present flowers to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth when she visits Corby on June 13.

Corby Council officials drew two names from among 2,000 school children in the borough.

The winners of this afternoon’s draw were Jack Williams, three, a nursery pupil at Kingswood Primary School and Alyshea Moyo, four, who goes to St Patrick’s RC Primary School.

Each will get the chance to present boquets to the Queen on her arrival in Corby.

The visit is part of the Queen’s diamond jubilee tour of the country. She will visit the Corby Cube and Corby Swimming Pool. Hundreds of local people have been asked to perform for her. The Queen and Prince Philip will also be entertained by children from five Highland Dancing Schools.
