Music festival big earner

A MUSIC festival returning this July raised more than £3,400 for local charities last year.

The total raised by Gedd-Stock, which returns to Geddington on Saturday, July 14, and Sunday, July 15, included an £800 donation from the White Lion pub, which hosts the event.

The free festival will feature The Bootlegs, a German Beatles tribute band with a member who used to live in the village.

The full line-up of bands is expected to be announced shortly.

The real ale bar provided by the pub, which proved popular last year, will return.

Face painting and a bouncy castle will help keep children entertained.

And a hippy stall will sell beads and T-shirts.
