Car enthusiasts took over the top two floors of a multi-storey car park for an auto show with a difference.
The car park at the Newlands Shopping Centre in Kettering had been chosen as the venue for the On Top Auto Show on Sunday, May 3.
The persistent rain tried to dampen their spirits but the enthusiasts still enjoyed a day of appreciation for outstanding automobiles.
More than 200 cars took part in the On Top event, which had to relocate to the middle deck.
However, to ensure that the activity was still a bright and cheerful event - even if the weather was not - there was live music all day and Cool Scoops catering on hand with the ice cream.
Neil Griffin, shopping centre manager, said: “When we organized an event on the roof for cars last year, we never envisaged that it would prove to be such a popular activity.
“Local motor enthusiasts love this kind of event – to the extent that even a bit of rain does not put them off.”
