A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital after coming off his bike in a quarry near Corby on Sunday (December 15).

The man, 19, was injured when his motorbike skidded onto its side, causing him to fall off. He suffered a deep cut to his right knee and a dislocated finger.

Due to poor weather and road conditions, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) was called out to the quarry just before 2pm.

The patient was treated at the scene before being flown to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire for further treatment.
