Motorcycle who almost hit schoolchildren near Kettering is sought by police

The rider of an off-road motorbike failed to stop for police – then almost hit a group of schoolchildren.

The bike was travelling between the villages of Great Addington and Little Addington, near Kettering.

The rider continued into Little Addington and mounted the path next to the church as the children were getting on to a bus. Nobody was injured but the children were shaken by the ordeal.

The incident happened at about 10.40am this morning (Wednesday, December 17).

The motorcyclist was wearing a white helmet with a black and white chequered pattern on the back, a black coat, blue jeans and red gloves.

The motorcycle is a very distinctive orange off-road bike with a loud exhaust. The rear number plate is mounted on the back mud guard.
