Motorbike rider taken to hospital after crash on A14 at Kettering

The incident took place at about 6.40pm on the eastbound carriageway close to Junction 8.

The rider came off his bike in the single-vehicle collision and was taken to University Hospital Coventry.

A force spokesman said he suffered leg injuries which were not believed to be serious or life-threatening.

The ambulance and fire service attended the scene, with the road reopened at about 7.20pm after petrol was cleared from the road surface.
