The Rotary Club of Rushden has agreed a major funding distribution to several charitable international causes.

Through members’ fundraising efforts the club has been able to donate a total of £4,500 to good causes, distributed between eight worthy groups including £1,000 each to the Aqua Box charity and to Medecins Sans Frontieres.

Donations have also been made to the Jaipur Limb Centre, Mercy Ships and Wateraid.

Club president Mark Darnell said: “All these donations are being made to causes that make a difference to the lives of people who find it difficult to survive in the circumstances in which they find themselves. “
