Money and cameras taken in Rothwell school break-in

Police are trying to track down an offender who broke into a Rothwell primary school, stealing lottery money and cameras.

The burglary occurred at Rothwell Victoria infant and nursery school in School Lane some time between 5.30pm on Friday, June 14 and 7.30am yesterday (Monday, June 17).

An offender broke into the school grounds between those times, and, while inside the grounds, a brick was used to smash a window and gain entry to the school itself.

The school’s lottery money was taken along with four cameras – one of which was a Samsung, one a Fuji and two Canons – all of which contained photos of pupils with animals from recent school trips.
