Growing Old Playfully – an exhibition about aging – is coming to the Alfred East Art Gallery in Kettering.

Artists Roger and Daniele Bradley began their project eight years ago in which they wear ‘alter ego’ masks to use in photographs.

Their exhibition began on May 21 and ends on July 2.

The artists said: “We have devised and photographed more than 50 different scenarios, blending fantasy with realism, throughout Britain, across Europe and in Canada.

“Although careful planning was essential, much fun has been had in the procurement and wearing of costumes and props.

“This exhibition’s large scale photographs represent where we have arrived thus far, we intend to continue ‘Growing Old Playfully’ into the distant future.”

Roger and Daniele will be at the Alfred East Art Gallery today (Thursday) and on Saturday, June 18, between 1.30 and 3.30pm to give anyone who wants to chat with them about their work an opportunity to meet them.

The duo will also be giving a talk on Friday, June 24, at 1pm at the Alfred East Art Gallery, Kettering.

Entry to the talk is free but booking is essential.
