Two charities will benefit from a special fundraising concert being held in a venue noted for its acoustics.

The mayor of Higham Ferrers, Alan Dunn, will be holding a charity concert on Saturday, April 5, from 7.30pm at the Heritage Chapel in Park Road, Rushden.

The mayor is raising funds for his chosen charities, which are the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Dogs for the Disabled.

Local conductor Stephen Bell will present a selection of music and songs from shows featuring the Rushden Windmill Band and the Northampton Male Voice Choir.

Mr Bell said he was particularly keen to return to perform at the Heritage Chapel because of the building’s fine acoustics.

Tickets cost £10 and are available from Higham Ferrers Town Hall, Sally’s News, in High Street, or by calling 01933 778677.
