Man wanted in connection with Corby robbery

Police have released images of a man they wish to trace in connection with a robbery which took place on Wednesday, August 15, between 11am and 11.45am in Alexandra Road, Corby.

The victim had got a loan from the post office at the Co-op in Corby and was walking back along Alexandra Road when he was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette.

The victim said he did not have any, at which point the offender is believed to have demanded the money and threatened him.

A police spokesman said: “The victim ran across the Oasis retail car park, but was chased by the offender.

“Following a brief struggle, the offender is thought to have stolen a quantity of cash from the victim.”

The offender then ran off down an alleyway leading into the town centre.

Officer have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist in the investigation and are urging him to come forward, or if anyone recognises him to make contact with the police.
