A man was threatened with a baseball bat and what is believed to be a machete during an aggravated burglary in Corby.

Thieves broke into the house in Lapwing Close at about 1.45am on Friday (September 26) and demanded the owner hand over cash and his watch.

A police spokesman said: “The 23-year-old handed over his replica Audemars Piquet watch and the offenders left the property.”

One of the men who broke into the house is 5ft 11ins. He was wearing a black tracksuit top with blue stripes down the sleeves. The only description of the second man is that he is shorter than the first.

Both were wearing gloves and they drove off in a red Saab Aero with a 2010 registration plate.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
