Man taken to hospital after being trapped in van in Kettering

A man was rescued by emergency crews after his van left the road and he was trapped inside.

Magpas doctors Richard Booker and Anne Booth and paramedic Ryan Warwick went out to the crash in Kettering just after 8.30am today (Tuesday).

They were called to treat the man who was injured when the van he was travelling in left the road.

A spokesman for Magpas said: “The Magpas medical team assessed the man in his 60s who had sustained a leg injury and was trapped inside the vehicle.

“They gave him advanced pain relief to allow the fire and rescue service to extricate him from the van.

“The man was then taken by land ambulance to University Hospital Coventry in a stable condition.”

An EMAS ambulance service paramedic crew, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service and Northamptonshire Police were also in attendance.

No further details about the location of the crash have been released by Magpas.
