A man suffered facial injuries after being assaulted in Wellingborough town centre.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the attack in Cambridge Street, Wellingborough, in the early hours of Saturday (April 4).

The assault happened sometime between 2am and 5am, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area during that time.

A police spokesman said: “We would particularly like to speak to three men who are believed to have spoken with the victim shortly after the assault.

“The victim, a 37-year-old local man, suffered facial injuries which required hospital treatment.”
