A man was airlifted to hospital after being stabbed in Wellingborough.

Officers were called to Brentford, just off Shelley Road, following reports that a man had been stabbed during a dispute just before 1pm on Saturday, May 24.

The man was taken to University Hospital Coventry by the air ambulance where his injuries were described as not life-threatening.

Officers investigating the case believe it was an isolated incident.

A spokesman for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance, which attended the incident, said: “We received reports of a 32-year old man who had sustained chest injuries following a stabbing incident.

“We were called out to assist East Midlands Ambulance Service (EMAS) in treating the patient and transporting them to the nearest major trauma centre.

“The patient was stable throughout the flight and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”
