A 46-year man was seriously injured when he fell through a floor on a building site in Corby.
He was working on the first floor of a building when it collapsed and he was crushed by bricks.
The accident happened at about 12.30pm on Saturday and the man was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
A spokesman for Warwickshire and Northamptonshire air ambulance service said: “We arrived at the scene at 12.42pm. The patient was freed from the rubble by the crew with the assistance of the East Midlands Ambulance Service
“Once freed, he was assessed by the WNAA crew. The man was in a lot of pain and had possibly sustained fractures to his arms and hip. He was also complaining of pain to his spine.
“He was immobilised by WNAA paramedics and given pain relief before being airlifted to hospital.”
