Man knocked unconscious during Corby robbery

A 24-year-old man was knocked unconscious during a robbery in Corby.

The attack happened between 5am and 5.30am on Sunday, October 6, in Studfall Avenue, between the Open Hearth pub and Rockingham Road.

A police spokesman said: “The man was walking along Studfall Avenue when he noticed three men.

“Two of them approached him and asked for a light for a cigarette.

“When he explained he didn’t smoke, one of the men repeatedly asked where he was from.

“The third man, who had disappeared, returned and struck him, causing him to fall to the ground unconscious.

“When he regained consciousness he found his wallet was missing from his pocket.”

The three men were white and wore dark clothing.

One was wearing a dark mask which partially covered his face.
